What is PVIP, and what should you review?
PVIP, the Malaysia Premium Visa Programme, provides a long-stay route for eligible foreign nationals who want to live, work, conduct lawful business or study in Malaysia. Programme approval can extend up to 20 years, with no minimum-stay requirement. It does not confer permanent residence or citizenship. Individual pass validity, passport requirements and subsequent endorsements follow the applicable approval.
If your plans combine household life and personal business interests, compare purpose, financial commitments, family size and intended activities first. Programme length alone should not determine the choice. Understand participation fees, the fixed deposit and ongoing costs before requesting a formal assessment.
One plan. Two different kinds of money.
Dependant, pass, visa and agency costs need separate itemisation.

The deposit is separate from the non-refundable participation fee. Current terms allow an application to withdraw 50% after six months for specified property, medical or education purposes, subject to approval conditions.
The official FAQ lists children below 25, with separate disability provisions. Review the applicable conditions for a spouse, parents, parents-in-law and domestic helpers separately.

PVIP application FAQs.
Does PVIP confer permanent residence or citizenship rights?
No. It is a conditional long-stay programme permitting work, business and study under the law, rather than permanent residence, citizenship or unrestricted rights.
Can a dependant choose a 10-year term?
Current official terms list participation fees of RM50,000 for a 10-year dependant option and RM100,000 for 20 years. The authorised agency confirms actual eligibility, term and service fees.
When may part of the deposit be withdrawn?
Current official terms allow application to withdraw 50% after six months for specified property, medical or education purposes, subject to approval conditions and the required Immigration documentation.
Are professional fees and government participation fees the same?
No. The brochure’s professional-fee references are RM100,000 for the principal and RM50,000 per dependant, separately from government participation and other costs. The written quotation and applicable official terms govern.
Can approval in 3–4 months be guaranteed?
No. The brochure’s timing is a processing estimate. Authorities, document completeness, further requests and the individual case determine the outcome and timing.
Does SL directly submit PVIP applications?
SL provides needs consultation and coordination. Formal applications go through an Immigration-appointed PVIP agency; verify its name, authorisation and agreement before appointment.
